What is really celebrated today?

Today is a great day for Mexicans, a festive that takes place in Mexico or in other places as well.

Well, but why? On May 5, it is a date of the commemoration of the battle of Puebla. The first time the Mexican army succesfully faced a better prepared foreign power, in this case the French. Victory took place in the current city of Puebla de Zaragoza in the year of 1862.

That is why there is a celebration on this day. Most Mexican people celebrate this great day with dances, parades of school students, people go horseback riding, there are Mariachis, and there is Mexican food of course. Today my family and I will celebrate this day with Mexican music and we will make a great meal, the food that our country represents tacos. And finally here, I leave you a picture of mine, a memory of a school parade where we are celebrating this moment.
